Description
This week’s central track, “What Time Is Love?” by The KLF, helped set the stage for a lot of the Eurodance that would become hugely popular during the nineties. So it only seems logical to kick off this week’s mixtape with some more Eurohouse, including prime examples from Chimo Bayo, Adamski and Black Box. After Black Box, I change tactics and turn to the way house music had started to penetrate mainstream dance-pop in the early nineties. Paula Abdul’s excellent “Vibeology” and Madonna’s “Rescue Me” are prime examples. As usual, I’ve also dug a little deeper, with a fair number of tracks you might not have heard in a very long time. And I finish with a great trio: Primal Scream and the Scat Mix of “Don’t Fight It, Feel It”, Deee-Lite with the incredible “Good Beat”, and one of my personal favourites, “Naked in the Rain” by Blue Pearl. Turn it up and enjoy the ride. 😎
