It’s always hard to explain what exactly touches you when you listen to the work of other talented curators and DJs. In David’s case, it’s probably his expert curation and that uncanny ability to keep me engaged from the very first moment his sets open.
So when David asked if I was interested in a collab, of course I said yes immediately.
For me, collabs are a way of getting out of the stricter lanes I usually follow with my regular shows. I knew we had to go jazz, and David agreed immediately when I proposed a bossa nova set.
I open this voyage with some of my all-time favourites, and around the 40-minute mark David takes over for a great finale.
