Description
This week’s mix is completely devoted to Eurodisco and ectronica. We start with the French/English combimix of Moscow Discow followed by Dan Lacksman’s solo project Electronic system. Dan Lacksman was a synthesizer devotee and, well before Telex, already released electronic dance music. So the second song of this week’s mix: “Cosmos Trip” from 1977 and his album “Disco Machine” is a sort of try-out for “Moscow Discow”. And who better that Telex friends “The Sparks” to complete the opening trio. “Tryouts For The Human Race” is one of the tracks of their first Giorgio Moroder produced album “N°1 In Heaven”. The rest of the mix contains lots of electronic eurodance and eurodance inspired disco by Sylvester, Patrick Cowley, Giorgio Moroder and the classic “Instant Love” by Sylvia Love (in a club/dub mix). Do read the accompanying newsletter on substack. I tell the story of Moscow Discow and Telex and I have a hallucinating chat with ChatGPT
