DJ Markie Gee has personified musical integrity and sophistication while resisting the idea that djs have to be record producers to be relevant. Gee cut his teeth doing local punk shows while distinguishing himself as a radio show host, club promoter and program/music director for several college stations in Connecticut. Helping to break acts like RuPaul, Tackhead, Nitzer Ebb and Living Colour fueled his passion for breaking new music. He has become one of the world’s most versatile programmers; a champion of deep house, soulful house, tech house, afro house, techno and electronica.

Gee maintains his global following on Casafonda Radio London “Notes From The Underground” every Tuesday and Friday as well as on DanceGruv.Net “Deep In The Gee Spot” every Saturday nite prime time. Currently Markie is performing live dates with The Doug Wimbish Allstars featuring Doug Wimbish (Sugar Hill Gang/Tackhead), Corey Glover (Living Colour) and Daru Jones (Jack White).
