Wreck Gunless 1245, part 2 of my Guns Diptych: 24.05.21 – Last week I presented Wreck Gun Discharge 1244 as yet another wake-up call to the irrational obsession with guns & the quick reach for a weapon when mental & verbal skills atrophy to the point that you can no longer express basic emotions, doubts or misgivings & so the gun must express your emotions at the moment.
This week: the antidote to the hopefully engaging but obviously dispiriting sound collage of reports of gun-related tragedy especially in the USA where the gun is a kind of ersatz religious symbol as important as the cross.
I've placed guns in frontal confrontation & creative discourse with birds, replacing ALL gun references with birdsong. So that we can temporarily overcome the overwhelming, stream of gun violence news reports, which offer no evidence of creative solutions – unless you believe prayer & sympathy are solutions...
