How does a cute furry thing attach itself like the way remoras latch themselves to the underbelly of sharks. Good at absorbing our moods, accepting almost everything, pleasant, calm, quiet, stealthy, inscrutable & capable of zen buddhist-like wackiness, able to sleep almost anywhere. I know, every cat owner says the same thing [& they’re right] their cat is unique. Yes, but Fifi [15] was more unique than others. Are we capable of cross-species communication without language? Without anthropomorphizing too much, I tend to think so.
