Wreck This Mess ~ Amsterdam ~ Ethno-Illogical Psycho-Radiographies ~ 26.01.16: On New Year's Eve, during the Radio2 Top 2000, dominated by mega atrocious top hits – Bohemian Rhapsody, Hotel California & Stairway to Heaven always vie for #1. I complained, ridiculed the choices. At 1 pt. the son of our friends asked me: “Are there ANY songs you DO like?” My passion & desire for better is sometimes misinterpreted as misery. Hence this response. I used memory & iTunes file called “75 most played”. It's missing 425 faves – Lovin’ Spoonful, Rascals, Sly Stone, Hendrix, Pere Ubu, DNA, ESG, Liquid Liquid, Television, Kraftwerk, Boris Vian, Joy Division, Howlin Wolf, Beefheart, Dylan, Leon Thomas, Neil Young, Cymande, Nina Simone, Bert Jansch, Greater Than 1, Black Sifichi, Led Zeppelin, Slits, Lena, Jon Hassell... After hearing Lennon’s “Imagine," I said: “If it hadn’t been for the attack on Charlie Hebdo, 'Bohemian Rhaposody' or 'Hotel California' would still be number 1."
