Born in the semi-rural and deprived ex-coal-mining town of Merthyr Tydfil in the South Wales valley’s, Wesley has an unlikely interest in the more experimental end of the music spectrum. Citing early 808 State, Iannis Xennakis, Russell Haswell, Boards Of Canada, Zbigniew Karkowski, Detroitian techno, Warp Records amongst so, so many others, as influences on his musical style…
2008 saw the release of the uncompromising ‘Bernwerk’ after Wesley was signed to James Holden’s impeccable Border Community Recordings. A glimpse into a sonic landscape of shuffle-kraut-rave meets digi-noise and surreal, dreamy improv music.
Wesley’s DJ sets have built a reputation for being equally ‘genreless’ but not neglecting their definite dancefloor edge. For booking requests please contact
