An undisputed legend of the UK dance scenes, DJ Paulette brought energy and unmatched charisma to We Out Here both across The Bowl and The Talks Tent.
Born and raised in Manchester, her 30-year career has seen her scale the heights of dance music fame and hedonism playing disco, house and techno across the globe.
One of the original residents of the Hacienda, DJ Paulette’s career has seen her hold down residencies at renowned clubs and radio stations alongside stints on the Parisian and Ibizan circuits.
Last year marked the release of her debut book ‘Welcome To The Club: The life and lessons of a black woman DJ’ a read that provides insight into her career while not shying away from discussing the difficulties and disparities our industry holds for women and musicians of colour on their path to success. A must read in our opinion.
