Los Angeles born and raised happa native (African+Japanese)
Shiro Fujioka aka Voltagectrlr is a sound healer, experimental musician and visual artist.
His compositions are a blend of ancient vibrations of the past with a modern and forward thinking twist. Shiro is a Nada Yogi that uses 17th Century Himalayan singing bowls for his personal meditation, vibrational healing and music compositions.
The modern twist is that Shiro uses his custom designed analog modular
synthesizer to construct improvised songs that capture an audible snapshot of the moment he was in at the time. Shiro's hand-built frequency machine channels into electrical vibrations which then Shiro manipulates with patch cords, dials and controls.
This style of electronic composition can go from mind bending improvisational jazz to deep meditative electronic Hip Hop.
In this present day where most electronic musicians are buying Macbook Pros, VoltageCtrlR stays busy building modular synthesizers to compose music
