UNDO THE TABOO (Rita Só & Eli Pavel)
Undo the taboo is a state of mind, a celebration. Rita Só and Eli Pavel, two obsessive cosmic gals, drunk with music, diggers, vinyl concubines, bum! brrum! brrrumble!!!! They spit the drums out of sorcery boxes. They are Afrocentric… human and true for the sake of amusement, impulsive and vibrant to crucify boredom.
Eli is the afrobeats inquisitor at Oye Records Berlin, Rita drowns at home in old Angola and Cape Verde records, fighting dust and dreaming of Damballah.
