Created in August 2012 by Marcus Freitas (Dj Mks) and Wallace Roza (Dj Skambo), who are known as the « Tupi Collective ». They’re deejays who have started a music project that explores the rhythms of Brazilian music (i.e. Forró, Carimbó, Samba, Samba-Rock, Hip-Hop, and Soul-Funk).
The Tupi Collective monthly parties welcomes deep collectors of Brazilian sounds, and also bands that bring our cultural rhythms to the stage. The music serves an up beat tempo to our clientelle, which examplifies the true essence of Brazilian culture . The collective has collaborated with well known artists as Nomadic Massive (MTL), Dj Andy Williams (MTL), Nego Moçambique (BR), Rommel Ribeiro (BR), Dj Lexis (MTL), Dj Kobal (MTL), Canicule Tropicale (MTL), Vovô Saramanda (MTL), Diogo Ramos (BR), Dj Jonathan Kim (LA), João Lenhari and many others.
To be in contact, our facebook page has some great songs shared everyday, as our next gig dates and projects updates.
