Clear blue skies. BBQ smoke wafting over garden fences. Girls in denim hotpants. You’ve guessed it… THE SUMMER’S HERE!! It’s those 3 weeks of the year when we damp-of-lung Brits can walk around wearing smiles, shorts & flip-flops, for all the world like we’re strolling down Las Ramblas on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
From a laid-back August evening to the classic carnival vibe we've tried to cover the whole range of summer sounds, but inevitably, certain tracks and artists get left behind. For some ridiculous reason neither of us can recall, we chose not to include any hits from such hot-weather stalwarts as Moon Safari, Simple Things, Carboot Soul or Big Calm. Dr Dre, Damian Marley & The Isley Brothers all missed out. We are fully confident however, that all our alternatives are suitably sun-kissed.
So point your speakers out of your open windows, mix up another jug of Pimms, pull out the stripey deck chairs, if the OST says it's summer then you better believe it's summer!
