While some people - we like to call them Heathens - consider electronic music to be cold, clinical and soulless, there are many others who are profoundly moved by the Music Of The Machines, in a way that previous generations were moved by classical music, rejoicing in it's depth, texture and soul. There is now such an overlap and blurring of the boundaries between what were once traditional genres of music, and electronica. But instead of compromised quality, the proliferation of this new art form has created an ever-evolving, sophisticated breed of music that the early pioneers could only have dreamed of. Thank God for science.
That well-known music theorist of the Middle Ages, Hieronymus of Moravia, once said "When mechanisms that be not Human may sing a song sweeter than that which gifts the human voice, forsooth the Devil himself has truly entered our World". Well, Hieronymus, we say, "If Electronica be the music of the Devil, play on..."
