The McMash Clan are Dudgy (Doug Gibson), Hallmark (Chris Hall) and Majorkooms (Kumar Grant) – a unique, exciting and technical 3 man DJ team based in London. Having combined forces in 2005, the trio have intensely focused on DJing as an artform. Pushing creative and technical boundaries, they create epic turntablist rave sets designed to smash dance floors.
The Clan use Traktor Scratch Pro, 4 turntables, 2 CDJs, 2 mixers and a Native Instruments Maschine. They are best known for their meticulously planned musical journeys; each bar is pre-planned as they cut, scratch, juggle, triple drop and re-edit their way through dubstep, d&b, bassline, techno, hardcore, electro, jungle, gabba, hip hop, reggae, breakcore and psytrance. They’ve dubbed this style "Turntablecore".
Having established this performance style they have increasingly focused on production. Like their sets, their own tunes draw on many different musical styles – with the sole aim of smashing dancefloors to pieces.
