A show about all things linguistics that talks about language as an expression of human diversity. No dialect gets turned away. If it’s what people say, or write, or sign it’s worth the show’s attention. What do people mean when they talk about “the language” in something? When people say “that’s just semantics” do they actually mean it’s ‘just’ morphology? Phonetics? Syntax? Pragmatics? Each week, your host Christian Tsoutsouvas, and one of his linguaphile friends will be dissecting a hot topic from this huge field of study, which covers everything from endangered languages to the newest dictation software.
The Language airs on Tuesdays at 1pm on Radio Fodder http://radiofodder.com/
