The mix is part of something so much more bigger. In a drive to be a bit more creative I stupidly decided that I would set myself the task of making one new thing every week for a whole year, yes – 52 new things – with one simple idea, that it has to be new and that it has to bring pleasure to at least one other person – how I measure that pleasure I don’t know, if you read something I write, hear something I give you, hold something I made – remember to be kind.
We all have creativity within us, whether it be painting, baking, writing, music making, building, sculpting, growing – but the pressure of modern life curtails much of this. Our commitment to others, our lack of energy and depleted confidence can act as barriers – yet maybe just not watching the telly for one night could change all that.
