Week 46 - 14th June - 1st July - Tribute to Glastonbury Mix

It really was an 11th hour decision to put this mix together for this week's Create#52 - so much so, I didn't start hunting down the vinyl down till about 8pm on the Sunday evening after a day out in the countryside. I was planning a field recordings mix of the sounds I'd been recording on my Audioboo App over the last few years. Instead, inspired by the greatest festival in the world and a trip down memory lane last night after I went into the attic to get my collection of festival programmes out to show the girls and watching various acts I decided to make a mix to celebrate the whole shabam (is that a word?).

I was truly lucky to see Portishead's first major gig, in the Acoustic Tent??? oddly, and it was worth every minute of the four hour wait. Of all the acts I saw at Glastonbury, it is hard to pick a favourite, perhaps Primal Scream, Portishead or Bjork - but in reality it has to be The Orb.
