DTCPU first shot onto our radar through his scorched re-imagining of a raft of US beatmakers on his Microwaves series. Since then he's impressed with a variety of developed audio and visual projects, crossing the line between blurred experimentalism and 80's visual nu-escapism.
The raw, snagged beats that set apart his early work were quickly shelved in favour of a kitchen-set mentality, drawing from organic field recordings and soft delayed tri-wave smoothness. Such dedicated sounds are too often untapped but with fans in everyone from pal Barefoot Shrubs to UK beat-peer Lapalux, and having been blogged by some of the finest ears the world over, it seems unlikely he'll lay low for long.
With a vinyl proper on the way, coast-to-coast US dates and a 2012 EU tour, there'll be no short of action for one of LA's most understated beatsmiths.
