sometime the tunes that i’ve picked for the show totally surprise me during sending them out via the airwaves and playing them LOUD in the studio. No overdubs, no editing, all just as it happens…and hopefully bringing joy to you as it does to me. Like that beautiful Pedro Ricardo instrumental, the new IzangoMa and the Julien Dyne productions The Lahaar & The Circling Sun. Or a spontaneous rewind of that far too short Harrison track, what a vibe ! Also the opener of this week’s soulsearching, goin back in time with Nostalgia 77 and the beautiful voice of Beth Rowley. As for the new feature, Real Treasures, playing full album sides of pieces that are important and made history, it had to be Nina Simone’s Anti War live rendition of Harrison’s „My Sweet Lord“ and „Today Is A Killer“. Wish i could have seen Nina Simone live back then!
