soulsearching 220525 - Five Prayers with Joy Guidry in conversation

Spontaneously is the best way to go sometimes. Or always, as you know from soulsearching. Had the pleasure of hearing and meeting Joy Guidry (Brooklyn/NY) in the morning at a press conference here in Frankfurt. Asked her if she'd be up for coming to join me on the show and yes, she did confirm like three hours before the kick off at 9pm. So we've had a deep conversation about what's going on in the US, played and talked about songs from her current beautiful and very personal album "Five Prayers" (Jaid Records) and even managed to slip some of her all time faves in towards the end of the 120. Live, improvised. Such a great musician and most of all very lovely person. It all becoming one in the end. Lovin' this! Thanks from the heart, Joy, for doing this, it's been great fun!
