beyond this place - a bit of a come down after the may celebrations, 120 minutes like flying above the sky. including my fave jazz vocal song of 2025 so far, by Brittany Davis and also my fave electronic extravaganza up to now by Djrum - A Tune For Us has left my speechless after playing it loud through the 4 studio monitors in Studio 2 at Radio X Frankfurt. Was going piece by piece really, from Prince to Laxmi Flying, the always outstanding Nils Frahm, almost 20 minutes of improvisation as recorded live in Paris, Adja (check her current album !!!), some Pharoahs Rejoice into King Britt Flower Dub from way back when, D'Angelo, Andy Bey (RIP) with Gary Bartz, another live purple moment from an aftershow with only 400 lucky people in the room, and finishing off with a proper tune for breakfast by Oscar Jerome. spring summer is here. enjoy the music xx
