SAFE AT HOME IS BACK!!! I'm retired now, I have time, so we're going to have a new show at least fortnightly if not weekly -- we'll see how it goes. Please enjoy! I'm also back on the air, monthly at KPFK 90.7 FM Los Angeles! I'll be uploading my monthly one-hour "Roots Music and Beyond" shows for them here as well.
Hi! I’m a former KCRW & KCSN music programmer & DJ. I'm currently on hiatus from my weekly/biweekly radio show for the time being, but please do stream the archived edition here at your leisure. It's funky, it's folky, it's all ova da place!
I hope to return (irregularly) in the near future.
Also, please read Lynell George's lovely article in Alta Journal about this radio show, how it came about, and a bit more about me, entitled "Playing a Sweet Mix of Gumbo." https://www.altaonline.com/culture/music-podcasts/a35606070/chuck-taggart-lynell-george-new-orleans/
I enjoy cocktails, French fries, and science fiction.
