This week, #69 is back with Pe Dupré, aka The Twelve Inch. And what a comeback! The beats are laid-back, the atmospheres are immersive, and the journey takes us through countless beautiful places, drifting between trip-hop, folk, pop rock, R&B, soul, and plenty of other sounds along the way.
A beautifully crafted set where every element is carefully placed to make everything flow effortlessly. Yet it never loses its organic, human touch, with lyrics exploring universal themes like love, memory, the passing of time, dreams, and the search for balance.
There are also some cinematic references woven in as interludes, marking the transitions between different sections of the set. They're far from arbitrary: their messages add meaning and draw us deeper into the unique world Pe has created. A true cultural atlas that speaks to us through the language of emotions.
