Sif leads the new episode from Rubén Balbuena for SSS. A goddess from Norse mythology and Thor’s wife, she is linked to fertile land, harvests, abundance, continuity and natural balance.
That symbolism sets the tone for a mix moving through Nordic, Balkan and Celtic traditions before reaching an electronic finale shaped by those influences.
Cultural exploration is central to Rubén’s work. He sees music as a respectful way to approach other cultures and understand the world — sounds that have accompanied communities in celebration and pain, bringing people together.
That outlook goes beyond music, embracing respect for different cultures, beliefs, backgrounds, customs and ways of life.
Sif works as a fitting symbol for this episode: earth, continuity and balance, with the hope that diversity can help us grow lasting change without losing our roots.
We hope you enjoy this week’s selection. Thanks for being there, and special thanks to Rubén for the treasures.
