Over the years he has been described as “deftly mixing” (Sunday Times, 2006), “Eclectic” (Time Out London, 2007), and “Spearheading the London Afro dance scene” (Arise Magazine, 2008). Later coverage hailed him as an “Afro electro legend!” (SA Times, 2010) and a “Spin Maestro” (Destiny Magazine, 2012). In 2013, The Fader profiled Mo Laudi as “the only South African DJ in Paris, and one of the city’s best.” The description reflected a particular moment in the Paris scene of the early 2010s, capturing Laudi’s position at a time when he was introducing South African house, kwaito, and Afro-electronic sounds into the city’s club culture.
