Welcome to Radio Katoi. We are a sonic revolution for the autonomous thinker, a champion for the independent listener, a counterpoint to the oligopoly of corporate music systems. Our hand-selected airways serve as a re-enforcement to our collaborative music philosophy and also a defense to the public’s dependence on popular medium. Too often self-reliance is replaced by technological convenience at the expense of the soul, the craft, the genius. Our focus is to abdicate the rulers of those kingdoms and transfer power back to the creators and doers. We hold these principles paramount to the development of a genuine and quintessential music program.
Radio Katoi is a live broadcast that takes place inside Katoi’s main dining room every Saturday evening from 10pm-2am. Our program highlights individuals that represent a unique perspective in musical knowledge and content curation that is seldom found in many other restaurants or musical venues around Detroit.
