From co-founding London’s Matinique Soul Sound in the ‘80s to pushing timeless grooves today, DJ MRcSp` has always followed one compass: Soul. His sets blend classic and contemporary sounds—Funk, Rare Groove, Afro, Latin, Broken Beat, Deep House—woven with intent, energy, and feeling.
For over 30 years, people have asked: “What does cSp stand for?”
(If you know, you know.)
Crowds don’t just dance—they lock in, vibing to what he calls:
Classic – Soulful – Protein for your ears.
Rooted in Lovers Rock, Jazz-Funk, 80s R&B and Reggae, MRcSp` evolved through soulful DnB before stepping fully into House & Garage in ‘97. The genres may shift, but the mission stays the same: deep connection, smooth transitions, and a vibe that lives long after the last tune fades.
You don’t just hear a DJ MRcSp` set.
You feel it.
This is where soul lives.
