Mosca

Hi I'm Mosca, a DJ/producer from London. I make and run a mixture of underground club music mainly inspired by dub, house, techno, grime and jungle, but also influenced by east coast hiphop, afro house, Shaolin soul, postrock and indie, first wave electro, ragga and dancehall, the odd bit of stripped back ghetto stuff, lots of beats from around the world as well as film soundtracks etc etc.

I try and only run sounds that make my heart really feel something, and for me that's a lot of slightly dissonant or darker-edged stuff mixed with a sense of soul and sexiness. Cutting edge but not just for the sake of sounding new. All that energy from the club mixed with experimentalism and soul, and a visual element too.

I've been on radio a fair bit, from Ustream sessions in a mate's tower block back in the day to primetime BBC Radio 1, Rinse, RBMA and more but right now I call the amazing NTS home. My show is the first Wednesday of the month, 7-9pm UK time.

Thanks for reading,
Mosca
