MichaelMeets.com is a podcast interviewing regular people about life, work, their interests and aspirations.
The inspiration for this podcast has come from my granny who passed away in 2014, for years I would listen to her stories about living in Whiterock, Belfast, working in the linen mills, and her years as a cleaner in the Royal Victoria Hospital. For years I said I would record those stories firstly on old cassette tape, then cd, then minidisc….. I never did. In 2010 she was diagnosed with Alzheimers and her memory and all those great stories disappeared apart from the few strands that I remember myself.
I’ve wanted to work on this project for over three years now but due to lack of time and probably fear I chose the easier path and not acted on it at all. Three years worth of niggles and the death on my granny made me get of my arse and do something about it. Life’s too short and we all have many great stories to tell.
