With a career spanning 4 decades, DJ Katch is local Brisbane Icon who has played across Australia and the globe. A music tastemaker, his sets cross fusion genres of rhythmic beats from Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Boogie, house, Afrobeats and world beats.
Some key achievement include, founder of the “Phat Tape Hip Hop show” on 4ZZZ community radio, running the independent Label, Hydrofunk Records, co-founder of the much loved Hip Hop Band the Resin Dogs, 3 times Queensland DMC champion 89-91 and placed in the Top 5 DJs in Qld for the In the Mix’ Awards.
Katch says, "This mix reflects the state we have been in for many decades, the tracks span those decades and shows no matter how far we think we have come. Things just seem to be in a state of disrepair.
