Growing up in the bass-conscious Pacific Northwest, Ryan “Sassi” Lassi confronted jaded beats and reused breaks all throughout his youth. Yet while others hung up glow sticks and retired lasers, he saw opportunity in generation gaps. Drawing influence from the likes of American Nightmare, Modern Life is War, and the Suicide File: his only option was to bring his past into the present.
Today, his Rythyms-per-gig have no guarantee. The crowd mixes genres, ages, and styles. Eclectic is the ethos, freedom is the culture, and unparalleled possibility is the style. While others take refuge in automation, Lassi continues to push his limits. Connecting vintage analog, thrash progression, and future house-potential was once thought an inhuman feat- but “Sassi” Lassi is leaving crowds inspired.
