Spinning hard Ghanaian funk, rocking makossa from Cameroon, Benga from Kenya, Congolese soukous or Cape Verde tropical bass, Jonny Mintaka always has the dance floor bouncing! A love of African rhythms was consolidated by two months in Cameroon touring with Baka musicians and he hasn’t looked back since, carefully building up an impressive vinyl collection to share with anyone who’ll listen.
Jonny Mintaka is also a reggae selector and producer specialising in deep roots and steppers. Listen here: https://soundcloud.com/mintakastudio/
