For Iain; better known as bland_not_boring, the dance floor is a lifelong obsession. With over 30 years as an avid music selector, his sets are fueled by a passion that hasn’t dimmed since day one; to this day, it remains the thing he enjoys doing the most.
His sound is a blend of heritage and energy, often playing new tracks with a nod to the old and drawing deep inspiration from the masterful, long-form mixing of days gone by, while embracing the high-energy, marathon disco-house spirit of modern heavyweights.
Iain’s sets traverse everything from sun-soaked 118bpm grooves to 128bpm peak-time energy, trying to let every track breathe. It’s about the "musical" side of the electronic spectrum, where lush chords and relentless rhythm collide to remind you exactly why you started dancing over three decades ago!
