DJ Krat started out in 1990 with serious DJing, learing the tricks of the trade from Marc Kneppers and Wim Plug of later Kraak & Smaak fame. Being quite the lover of hard beats Krat dabbled in early hardcore, Drum&Bass, EBM, Industrial, and alternative music.
From 2000 onwards he is a resident of the Cyberia parties in Utrecht, and organised his own Freitag/Samstag parties in LVC, leiden. He also played several goth and industrial parties in venues like Effenaar, Ekko, 013, Paradiso, Melkweg and Willemeen. He also DJed the Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig on 4 occassions.
Apart from this he also used to DJ electro, electroclash and techno at Fetish parties like B.I.T.C.H, Dominatrix and Rubber Ball. Growing up in the 80's and 90's he can also DJ a mean alternative 80's/90's party as he proved at the Altoooh parties in LuxorLive in Arnhem and De Peppel in Zeist.
