THE MIX TAPE RADIO MIX CDs | DISC 01

I've been trying to think of a manageable way to start uploading more + longer mixes than my usual weekly 8-track mix tape, especially now that I have a handful of cool people supporting me thru Mixcloud Select.

But the challenge with all this one-man-music-blog stuff is finding the time for taking on new tasks, especially recurring ones, but as I was updating the song selection on an old iPod Shuffle, I was reminded of the music sorting system I had set up in iTunes for when I was running a 24/7 internet radio stream called 'Mix Tape Radio' — which, eventually, lead me to an idea: what if I use the 'randomized playlist' function I used to use to for radio programming to shuffle up a selection of the 1000s of 'mix tape radio approved' songs that I could then use to put together a mix cd to upload to Mixcloud?

And here we are with a new series: THE MIX TAPE RADIO MIX CDs (gonna start of bi-weekly, but might go weekly if more join the HI54 Mixcloud Select crew).
