MTR 145 | BLACK LIVES MATTER | THE MIX TAPE RADIO SHOW

This week's episode is another mix inspired by the vital Black Lives Matter movement — a movement which is about so much more than just fighting back against the horrific systemic racism/fascism that sometimes gets captured on camera *AND* despite a lot of social media returning to posting less and less about the current push for justice & equality, it’s a moment that is still very much going on/needed. And since I listen to music & put together mixes to help process what’s going on in my headspace, I’ve been listening to a lot more BIPOC voices/stories than my folky/americana white dude tendencies tend to reach for, and I figured the least I could do with my little platform is make sure my weekly mix tapes are more intentionally flavoured with music/messages that don’t help distract from the ongoing important work of demanding/making long overdue changes.
