20 FROM ’21 | THE HI54 YEARBOOK MIXES

After a wee blahg break to close off 2021, I figured it’d make sense to return to my weekly Mixcloud mix-making duties in 2022 by putting together a Yearbook Mix for the year that just was. Although, what even was 2021?

I mean, all things considered, I suppose I really didn’t have a “bad” year, personally, but, at the same time, I’m not even sure that “good” years exist anymore in this frustratingly stupid late stage capitalism timeline we seem to be collectively stuck in.

Oh well, at least more & more artists continue to make more & more great music. And 2021, as much of a shit show as it was, it was also another great year for the art of making music that helps (some of) us feel connected to people other than ourselves.

And that's always a positive note to end/start a year on.
