20 FROM '16 | THE HI54 YEARBOOK MIXES

Bi-weekly series ‘THE HI54 YEARBOOK MIXES’ continues with the year we were making a 2nd attempt at relocating from Europe to a small Canadian mountain town after life punched our plans in the mouth with an unexpected death in the family that had us starting 2016 off in Denmark on an extra melancholy note. This was also the year that the world’s least qualified person won the US presidential election, setting the table for the broken farce of our political systems / media outlets going into full blown clown show mode — but, for me, 2016 was more a year about spending time with & without family and being reminded that the universe laughs at made plans, so maybe stop trying to plan a life that “makes sense” in a nonsensical world and just focus on the living part of it. And the soundtrack sounded a bit like this.
