20 FROM ’05 | THE HI54 YEARBOOK MIXES

The (mostly) bi-weekly series ‘THE HI54 YEARBOOK MIXES’ continues by going back to the year when Kanye West was saying that George Bush didn’t care about black people after Hurricane Katrina. 2005. It’s also the year when I was wrapping up a 2-year stint in the United Kingdom and bringing back a great Dane to meet the Canadian family… and if 2005 me and current me were to get together and put a mix together, I think the 2 of us would be in lockstep with the vibes on this digital mix tape (as for the great Dane, she's currently in Denmark visiting her family solo while I get ready to go visit my Canadian family solo for Easter — and my Grandma’s sister has been pushing the theory that the great Dane has finally done a runner 🙃).
