19 FROM ’89 | THE HI54 YEARBOOK MIXES

‘THE HI54 YEARBOOK MIXES’ continues by going back to the year when the Cold War was officially declared over (wink, wink). 1989. It’s also the year that Tiananmen Square happened + a bunch of other bad 80s stuff, but… I was also only 6 years old at the time, so I mostly just remember the Batman movie coming out and probably being jealous that other kids got that new Gameboy thing that also launched that year.

But, if I were to get magically transported back to 1989 at the age I am now, this mix is a pretty decent taste of what would be playing in my Walkman — and since listening to old releases is kind of like being magically transported back to a different year, how about we jump back to 1989 for a bit now, eh?
