19 FROM '85 | THE HI54 YEARBOOK MIXES

Bi-weekly series ‘THE HI54 YEARBOOK MIXES’ continues by going back to when I was getting the hang of pooping outside of my pants in 1985. The year that New Coke was launched — which turned out to not be nearly as important of a debut as the Calvin & Hobbes comic strip that came out that same year and an older version of myself would eventually absorb into my personality. 1985 was also the year that Nintendo would launch in North America, laying the ground work for me to eventually blahg about my favourite NES games 35 years later.

As for my actual experience of 1985, being only 2 years old at the time, I don’t really have any stored memories, especially around music… but, somewhere cool, the soundtrack could've sounded a bit like this.
