People ask me all the time, “How do you become a Funk Dr?” The truth is, it’s not enough to be published regularly in the Journal of Bootyology. You have to focus your studies on connecting your music to your listener. When your mixes consistently hit home for your grandma, teenage daughter or cousin, and your country-loving family members, you are well on your way to funk doctoring.
