I worked as a journalist for a long time, first in Manchester when my friends started Jockey Slut, then back in London for THE FACE and various other magazines and newspapers. Then I realised I'd written the same feature quite a few times. So I started working at Live Magazine in Brixton as an editorial mentor, and started hosting lectures and doing radio with RBMA. I now split my time between Live Magazine, radio (both on The Pick N Mix Direct From The Red Bull Studios, my weekly Friday night show on NME Radio, and as a regular guest on The Guardian Music Weekly podcast) and writing. emmawarren.wordpress.com.
