Been DJing for a long time many years experience.
I first DJed at my high school 40 Hour Famine fundraiser. I DJed for 5 hours at age of 13 lol Using 1x turn table & 1x tape cassette deck. I had the jams of the that time on both vinyl & tape cassette.
Went through the years of owning turntables carrying crates of wax. And a crate of cassettes.
I understand the concept of 'MIXTAPE' Made them gave them out. Dubbing from Turneys & tape machines.
Today I dont think about what i use to achieve good jams but more about creating a vibe with what I have.
Currently use Serato with CDJ.
My gear:
Serato SL1
Pioneer 909 Mixer
Pioneer CDJ 1000 MKII x2 (Sometimes use 1 deck)
