DJ Selphi is a New York City bachata DJ and one of the few who produces his own music: bachata remixes, covers and original songs, with production experience going back to 2004.
He came to DJing from the dance floor. He has danced bachata since 2008, so he knows first-hand what dancers want to hear at socials, parties and festivals. Every week he hunts for the best new songs so his sets always feel fresh, and he keeps refining the smooth transitions he's known for. He's usually the first to arrive and the last to leave.
Since joining Sensual Movement in 2016, he has become their official DJ. He's resident at the Sensual Fridays and Roofchata Wednesdays socials in Manhattan and has played every congress and festival they've organized. His favorite artists include Romeo Santos, Pinto Picasso, Kewin Cosmos and Jr.
