Born in Barcelona and raised in L'Hospitalet del Llobregat, N3O-DEX (Daniel Leyva Platero) lived through the late ’80s—just before the fall of the Wall—and the early ’90s, one of the golden eras of electronic music in Spain. A true night-time destroyer of the Barcelona scene, he evolved from immersing himself in the raw pulse of pure techno to surrendering to the rhythm, soul, and groove of house and its many offshoots. His style is rooted in techno, but he believes an artist must stay open—open to new interpretations, new sounds, and new ways of feeling and understanding electronic music as a whole.
