Classic Material x Wax Poetics #12: The Breaks of '98-'99

A continuation of sorts from the Diary and Classic Material mix series, 'The Breaks of ...' revisits the chronological theme of those mixes, this time reconstructing classic Hip Hop from the year in question utilising only the original sample material. This twelfth and final mix in the series rebuilds popular Hip Hop cuts from 1998 and 1999 by the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock, Gang Starr, Hieroglyphics and more from their Funk, Soul, Rock & Jazz constituent sample sources. This mix forms part of the Classic Material x Wax Poetics mixtape series in celebration of #HIPHOP50. Artwork pays homage to Paul Winley's iconic Super Disco Brakes compilation series.
