Classic Material x Wax Poetics #11: The Breaks of '96-'97

A continuation of sorts from the Diary and Classic Material mix series, 'The Breaks of ...' revisits the chronological theme of those mixes, this time reconstructing classic Hip Hop from the year in question utilising only the original sample material. This mix rebuilds popular Hip Hop cuts from 1996 and 1997 by the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Nas, The Fugees, Royal Flush and more from their Funk, Soul, Rock & Jazz constituent sample sources. This mix forms part of the Classic Material x Wax Poetics mixtape series in celebration of #HIPHOP50. Artwork pays homage to Paul Winley's iconic Super Disco Brakes compilation series.
