Big:wig is the UKG focused alias of DJ Wiggy C, who started playing live in 2001, having grown up on a love of UK Garage and ‘95 Jungle, briefly crossing genres within mixes into RnB & Hip Hop to compliment the energetic D&B beats
He spent 7 years from 2003 to 2009 residing in Kavos, Corfu playing for the summer seasons to a commercial crowd, this gave him a platform to share a lot of his exclusive bootlegs with varying regions of the UK, some of which even made it to mainstream radio.
In 2010 he embarked upon the Sydney Music scene, introducing a blend of hip hop with electro house & has since passed through Thailand, Dubai & Spain to spread his unique mixing style.
After 10 years spent back in the UK, big:wig now resides in Kitsilano, Vancouver, Canada and has decided to focus solely on UK Garage, digging into the archives to deliver forgotten gems, alongside discovering newer artists. You’re less likely to hear him in the clubs these days, but regularly online spinning ukg
